Nothin' Like a Rainy Day and a Sick Kid

It is raining!  That would be a good thing if our backyard did not resemble west Texas on a bad day and the dogs were not outside.  My Jack is sick today, so a rainy day doesn't bother me as much since outside is not an option anyway.  I have decided to make Hannah's cupcake shirt today.  I got my Kelly's Kids catalogue a week or so ago and just fell in love with the appliqued shirts.......until I saw the prices.  Yowsa!  32 buckaroos.  No thanks.  but I still loved them so I thought Gee, I think I can make these.  The first ones I made were intial letters for both the kids.  Hubs thought Jack's was too girly and that boys definitely didn't wear intial shirts.  I had to drag out the catalogues to show him that indeed they do.  Hannah loves hers!  Now it's on to the, little bit more complicated, cupcake design.  Hopefully it will turn out as well as the first ones!  Fabric has been washed and is now drying so hopefully I can get that started today.

The house is unpacked!  Finally!  There is nothing more fun than moving into a house 1/2 the size of the one ya just sold.  I thought we had gotten rid of all the extras.  Hardly!  We got rid of more stuff and now everything fits perfectly.  We live in a great neighborhood and an even greater town!  If you haven't noticed I LOVE HUTTO!  And to those who know me, no it's not just the hippos everywhere, although that doesn't hurt.  It's just an awesome little town next to other awesome little towns, next to a great city!  Austin, to me, has always just felt like home.  I am talking from the time I was much younger, it just drew me in.  Hutto feels the same way.
